Theresa began her career in journalism as the publisher of the “The Newhouse News”, the family weekly, at an early age of seven. This interest expanded into campus publishing when Theresa at UVic. She wrote for the student paper The Martlet
. Theresa also served as a long time volunteer, and for one term as co-editor, of Uvic's feminist newspaper, The Emily
