A number of students are currently off campus and much of our reminiscing has been over email. As we discussed these memories, they all came back to great times and funny adventures. While Theresa impacted each of us differently, it was the very full and enthusiastic way she lived life that has left the greatest impression.

I know as a family, you must be overwhelmed with offers of condolence and sympathy. I add mine to those. Reading through your emails about the way your are celebrating her life this weekend sounds like exactly the right kind of ceremony. I regret being so far away.

Theresa and I did some our undergrad degree together and worked on the Emily newspaper for a few years. She has been a very positive and re-occurring influence in my life.

As we discussed the various anecdotes, we thought that writing a short story about one of these events to pass on would be good. It has been a bit of a collective writing effort. This is an example of one of those regular days made brighter and more fun by Theresa's indomitable spirit. It may not be the kind of story you are looking for, and so please feel free to use it, or not, whatever seems best.

I look forward to reading the email version of the collection you are putting together. Finally, I would appreciate it you would say hello to Kitt for me. Being so far away, I'm not much use, and I don't know how to track him down these days, but I've been thinking of him a lot these last few days.

Theresa at The Emily Newspaper

The part that I think is most important about the paper is that she made it so much fun and that made me want to do it again the next year in the role she had. Also she started a tradition of going to Scott's diner after production at 4:00 in the morning to eat grilled cheese and chocolate milkshakes - and that makes anyone a hero in my books.
