Theresa at Work

As we are all aware, Theresa always seemed to have any number of projects on the go at any given time. Despite often having these multiple commitments, she always managed to make her deadlines. I was frequently awake with her until just about sunrise working on these projects, that were usually due at the printer at 8:00am. We invariably had some catastrophe, usually involving the computer.

One time, probably somewhere in the vicinity of 3:00am, we started having printer problems, which were Theresa's least favourite to deal with. I was working in the kitchen and she was in her room. Her door was half shut, but I could hear her muttering to herself and rustling around. I came up to the door very quietly and peeked in. There was Theresa, in her pink fuzzy slippers, lavender track pants, and blue cardigan with her tied back hair falling onto to her glasses. She was bent over the printer with her back to the door. All I heard her say was (to the printer) "Just tell me what you want from me!" I burst out laughing, and she turned around and started laughing as well. We survived the crisis as we always did, with a sense of humour. The project was completed and arrived at the printer's on time.

I love that image of Theresa. She was a very special individual.
