I am so sorry and shocked to hear of her death, and send you and the rest
of her family my warmest thoughts in this time of grief.
I knew
Theresa at the University of Victoria - she was a fine writer for the
Martlet (the campus student newspaper) and also an active member of the LGBA
- Lesbian, Gay and Bisexual Alliance. In addition to those interests, we
also were both members of Musaic, a local lesbian/gay/allies choir.
She once came out for a great day-long party at my former place on 40 acres,
wearing one of her usual gorgeous feminine dresses, and sang and laughed and
smiled and entertained us with her wit.
On another occasion, having
decided that I would never fit into half the things in my closet, I invited
Theresa and another friend of ours over to go through the pile and pick what
they wanted. I remember admiring Theresa's lovely figure and hair and
knowing she would look fabulous in what she chose.
Her intelligence
and humour and many, many talents will be sorely missed. Again, I sorrow
with you.
Sincerely,
Kelevelyn Hurley
